We are so happy that The Glendon is becoming your new home. Los Angeles has so many great restaurants and activities for you to enjoy during your days off of work. Whether you take a stroll on the beach or a run through our many parks, Los Angeles will become your new home within a few weeks. However, before you explore outside, it is time to get your place furnished inside. You may be worried that it will be hard to find furniture, but Los Angeles has so many great shops that all of your design dreams can come true.

Do you need some design inspiration? We recommend starting off at Pottery Barn. Pottery Barn is a little less than three miles away from your home at The Glendon. Their unique and creative furnishings will give you an idea of what you want your home to look like. Do you want more of a modern or classical feel? One day in Pottery Barn will give you the direction you need to start furnishing your home.

Now that you have your design scheme, head to Pampa Furniture on W Pico Blvd. This upscale shop has home furnishings and decor for your new apartment. They have small and large pieces for your living room, dining room and bedroom. You can head to their website to see what they have in store before you buy. With their one-of-a-kind pieces, you may find a perfect centerpiece for your living room or bedroom at this local store.

Now that you have your big pieces, head to Bed Bath and Beyond on West Olympic Blvd to get your bedroom and bathroom supplies. It is a short 12 minute drive from your home at The Glendon. This store has so many colors and patterns to choose from, it will be easy to find one that matches your design scheme. They even have home appliances that you may have forgotten to bring or pack with you. Check out their website for the great deals they have every day.

We hope you love your new home at The Glendon. With these great stores all within 15 minutes of your new home, your new apartment will be ready to live in within a few days.

Valentine’s Day is almost here, and that means it is time to surprise your loved one with presents and gifts. However, are you one of those people that gets completely overwhelmed with shopping for presents? We completely understand, we have been there too. Lucky for you, Los Angeles has a wide variety of shops and stores to find the perfect gift. We have gathered some of the best gifts near our home at Palazzo Westwood. So grab your wallet and take a walk to find your perfect gift for this Valentine’s Day.

Chocolate and flowers are always a great gift to start your Valentine’s Day date. However, there is more to chocolate than the pre-made boxes in your local grocery store. You can head to Compartes Chocolatier to get the perfect sweet gift. Shop their Valentine’s Day collection to find a great variety for each person’s unique tastes.

If you want to do something a little different besides chocolates and flowers, check out a Los Angeles Dinner Cruise. You can enjoy a four course meal while enjoying the views of the Southern California coast. After dinner, you can dance under the moonlight with your loved one. This cruise will be a Valentine's Day date that you will never forget. These dinner cruises book up fast, so make sure to pick your day soon.

If you want this Valentine’s Day to stand out from the others, head to Brilliant Earth to find the perfect piece of jewelry. This store was founded by two Stanford Grads. They sell conflict-free jewelry using recycled previous metals. You can choose from custom made rings, earrings and other pieces. This store is located in the Robertson Blvd Shopping District. Make sure to make an appointment for the showroom to pick out your gift. They are open seven days a week.

These are just three of the many great creative gifts throughout the Los Angeles area. Valentine’s Day can be stressful, but thinking about your loved ones' tastes makes the process just a little simpler. Do you have the perfect go-to Valentine’s Day gift? Share it with us on our Facebook Page.

Holiday Decor In Your Home

Thanksgiving and Black Friday events are over, this means that it is time to decorate for the holidays. Living in an apartment can provide you with many options to decorate. You can create a perfect winter wonderland in any space with a little creativity and work. We have gathered a few apartment holiday decorating ideas that we love. Make sure to share your holiday photos with your Palazzo Westwood neighbors on our Facebook Page.

Windows

The windows in your apartment may be a favorite for you. Do you have a great view of the city or community? Use this space to start your holiday decorating. First, you need to gather some materials. Go to Pier 1 Imports and purchase some icicle lights and window snow paint. Hanging the lights while giving the illusion of snow on your windows (even if you are in a warm climate) is the perfect way to jump start your holiday spirit. Apartment Therapy can give you a few more ideas on how to make this look perfect.

Tree, Mistletoe, or Wreath?

The classic holiday items are perfect for any space, but deciding what is appropriate for your space is important. Mistletoe will fit in any apartment, all you need is a doorway or archway. Grab some mistletoe from Target and hang it in a high ceiling area in your house. Also, to add some holiday scents to your home, you can purchase a wreath. Even if you are not able to hang a wreath in your apartment or doorway, you can lean it against the wall on top of a cabinet or dresser. We recommend purchasing or making a wreath with scented pine cones in the arrangement. This gives you a nice holiday smell in your home all December long.

Be Creative

Getting in the holiday spirit is about your personal preferences. Do you have any decorations that are sentimental? Make sure to prioritize and put these up before anything else. These items will end up becoming your favorite pieces, and they will be displayed in every home that you live in.
