Image From Wikimedia
Playoff Baseball is almost here. You have just short two months left to see your Los Angeles Angels in their race for AL West Championship. There are so many great games left for you to enjoy in Los Angeles this August and September. There are special game nights, giveaways and great matchups that you should get your tickets for today!

This weekday 7pm game is the Angels v. Indians. We can not wait to watch our Angels take on this American League Rival.  This game also includes a free giveaway. Get to the game early to grab your MLB Network tote bag in Angels colors!

This game versus the Orioles is one you do not want to miss. This AL East team is second in their division and looking to win a few games to hopefully pass the New York Yankees. This game also features two special events at Angels Stadium of Anaheim. First the game features Italian Heritage Night all throughout the stadium. However, you can still have fun if you are not Italian. Stay after the game for a post game fireworks show sponsored by Wells Fargo!

Are you looking for your other half in a Los Angeles Angels Fan? Come to Singles Night on August 20th for a great game against the Chicago White Sox. This game is a chance for you to meet the love of your life in a crowd full of the best baseball fans in the country. Your admission gets you a game ticket, admission to a pre-game mixer, and $10 in ANGEL BUCKS that you can use during the game. The mixer will be held at the Gate 1 Music Garden from 5-7pm and will feature a DJ, drink specials, games and activities.

Finally, you can celebrate Oktoberfest with this Friday night game against the Mariners. The Angels are giving away an Oktoberfest boot mug so you can celebrate and cheer on the Angels in one of the last regular season games of the year. This is the perfect way to get ready for some playoff baseball on a great Friday night in LA.

These are just four Los Angeles Angels games that you do not want to miss. Grab your friends from Palazzo Westwood and go cheer on your Angels this season!

Date Night in LA

Image From Pixabay
We live in a town with celebrities, sports and some of the greatest shows in history. However, celebrity spotting or a movie that is advertised on every billboard may not be the best date night.  Unique date nights are a way to bring you and your new acquaintance closer together by having something to talk about. Here are a few great date ideas throughout the LA area.

Vintage Bowling

The Spare Room is a bowling venue that you have never experienced. This luxurious vintage bowling alley is located on the second floor of the Roosevelt Hotel. This two lane bowling alley and cocktail bar does fill up fast so make sure to make your reservations early. Do you want a break from bowling for your date night? Don’t forget about their vintage board games that they have throughout the area. Insider’s Tip: Wednesdays from 8pm-10pm is their half-priced bowling and happy hour.

Hiking

On your next date, incorporate the lovely views of Los Angeles with your daily exercise plan. Take your date hiking throughout the hills of LA. There are many trails available for the beginners to the people that really want to break a sweat. Many of these trails feature breathtaking views, and they are close to your home at Palazzo Westwood. Plan out your route using Thrillist’s best day hikes.

Your Stomach And Your Heart Will Be Happy

The Eagle Rock Gastrobistro called Little Beast is a way to make sure your date and your stomach are happy. This bistro is featured on many best-of-lists for romantic spots and delicious food. They have a southern inspired meal that you can try on Tuesday date nights. This will be a fixed price of $35-45 dollars a couple depending on if you choose to include wine.

Cooking Class

Everyone has a weakness, if you can’t cook, then you can learn a new skill with your date. Hip Cooks has many locations throughout the area. Learn how to make a few new dishes for future dates with these fun and affordable cooking classes. There is a bonus to these great classes too. You are not only learning how to cook, but you get to eat and drink what you make! It is a date night and activity in one.

These are just four small date night ideas for Los Angeles. We hope this first date leads to many more. If that is the case, check out Thrillist for more date nights ideas for your next outing.

Tomorrow, our country celebrates its 239th birthday, and no city knows how to celebrate quite like Los Angeles does! If you want to mix up your typical Independence Day routine and get out of your apartment home at Palazzo Westwood Village, plenty of events lie in store for you! Our area has celebrations including anything from the expected fireworks spectaculars to cemetery celebrations!

Hollywood Bowl
"King of Motown" Smokey Robinson and the Los Angeles Philharmonic will serenade audiences Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 PM. Performances will be followed by a spectacular fireworks display. Tickets are available online, and children 12 and under are half price.

If you don't want to see the concerts beforehand, but would like to view the fireworks, the Hollywood Bowl Overlook in the Santa Monica Mountains. Be sure to get there early to snag a good parking spot!

Hollywood Forever Cemetery
If watching a screening of "Top Gun" outdoors at a Hollywood cemetery sounds like your ideal Fourth of July celebration, head over to Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Watching a film in the cemetery may sound strange on the surface, but it is one of the city's most popular summer events. Make sure you get there early!

The Queen Mary
If you have friends or family in Long Beach, the July 4th celebration on The Queen Mary is the perfect excuse to go and visit! Watch the fireworks from aboard a harbor cruise, enjoy a vintage family circus, dine on some barbecue at The Aquarium of the Pacific, and more! Haute Living calls Long Beach's fireworks display one of the best in Southern California.

Grand Park
Pack a picnic, gather your pets and head downtown for a huge summer block party! The event features food trucks, live music, and more. Best of all, this event is free to attend!

What does your holiday weekend have in store for you? Whether you're hosting a cookout, lounging by the Palazzo Westwood Village pool with friends, or are attending one of these events, we want to know! Share you plans on our Facebook and Twitter pages! Have a safe and happy Fourth of July!
